Shawn graduated from the University of Washington with his BS in Physical Therapy in 1976. He has been a practicing therapist in a variety of orthopedic settings, mostly as co-owner of Edmonds Physical Therapy & Sports Rehabilitation, P.S.
His involvement in athletes ranges from the recreational youth / adult to the seriously competitive individual.
A lifelong resident in the Puget Sound area, Shawn, wife Sharon and their family enjoy the various outdoor opportunities available year around. Gardening, woodworking, soccer refereeing, and participating with his children's and grandchildren's school / sport activities occupy the remainder of his home life.
Shawn believes strongly in the education of patients for their long term self-improvement. |

Michael Chamberlin, PT

Michael attended the University of Oregon on a swimming scholarship and graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in physical education in 1972. He then attended the University of Washington and graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Physical Therapy in 1976.
Michael is co-founder of Edmonds Physical Therapy, which was established in 1982. A member of the Washington State and American Physical Therapy Association since 1976. He is a member of the private practice section of the APTA and also a past president for the Washington State Physical Therapy Association special-interest group.
He believes that everyone can benefit from physical therapy and that we all can live a healthier and pain-free life by stretching daily and by exercising on a regular basis.
Michael is married and has two grown children and enjoys swimming, tennis, water-skiing, and snow boarding. |

Meghan Childs, MSPT
Physical Therapist |
Meghan graduated from Boston University with her Bachelor of Science in Health Sciences in 2003, and her Master of Science in Physical Therapy in 2005. She has worked in private practice and hospital-based orthopedic rehabilitation, as well as acute-care inpatient services.
Meghan strives to use evidence-based practice, employing various techniques depending on each individual patient.
Incorporating manual therapy and therapeutic exercise with self-care education, Meghan believes in achieving balance throughout the body to maximize pain-free mobility. She has enjoyed integrating Pilates-based exercises within rehabilitation and wellness programs.
Meghan moved to WA from Boston in October 2008, and is actively exploring this amazing region. |
